Dirk Nowitzki scores a season-high 40 points for the Mavericks as they defeat the Jazz and snap a four-game losing skid on March 3, 2012.
He scored a franchise-record 29 points in the fourth quarter to help the Mavs wipe out a double-digit deficit on the way to a 96-85 win against the Jazz. He finished with 40 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and five blocks.
"I had a good rhythm tonight," said Nowitzki, who scored 20 points in each half. "I had not been really been shooting the ball well, especially from 15 to 16 feet. I just wanted to be aggressive and my teammates kept feeding me."
