Melo shot a three-point over LaMarcus of Portland Trailblazers
The Trail Blazers overcame Carmelo Anthony's season high-tying 45 points and spoiled Stoudemire's season debut, beating New York 105-100 on Tuesday night. The cheers turned to boos just a few minutes later when the Knicks couldn't stop the Portland Trail Blazers.
With this 45 points, Melo became the fourth Knicks player since 1988 with multiple 45-point games on the same season, they are Allan Houston on 2002-2003 season, Latrell Sprewell 2001-2002 season, Patrick Ewing 1988-1989 season.

J.R. Smith scored 28 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks, but Jason Kidd was scoreless and missed all five shots in 33 minutes. On the Blazers, Nicolas Batum scored 26 points, rookie Damian Lillard had 21 points, six assists and five rebounds, and LaMarcus Aldridge had 19 points and 14 rebounds for Portland, and they avenged a 121-79 loss on the New York's Madison Square Garden last March 14.
